My vision
VICIOUS VICES IS A SYDNEY BASED PRODUCTION COMPANY THAT FOCUSES ON FEMALE LED, CHARACTER DRIVEN GENRE FILMS FOR INTERNATIONAL AUDIENCES.
Established by writer, director and producer Ella Bowman, Vicious Vices has several projects in post-production, including the black comedy Calm Down and the queer rom-com Girls Don’t.
Vicious Vices takes its name from one of the many reasons women were committed to insane asylums in the Victorian era. Were these women criminal, crazy, or just rebelling against the social constraints of their time? Similarly Vicious Vices aims to push boundaries and conventions, use our platform to promote female-led content while also embodying the stories that resonate with the company – ones that explore, underneath, what it means to be human.
